Colombia is currently the world's third-largest coffee producer, after Brazil and Vietnam. Commercial coffee cultivation began in the 1830s, and by the 20th century, coffee became the country's leading export crop. The mountainous terrain, combined with diverse tropical microclimates, provides an ideal growing environment. Seventy-five percent of total production is exported, making it the most important source of foreign exchange income.
The main coffee-producing regions in Colombia include: Huila (San Augustin), Narino, Tolima, Popayan (Cauca), Valle de Cauca, Meta, Antioquia (Medellin), Magdalena (Sierra Nevada), Boyaca, Santander (Bucaramanga), among others.
Finca El Paraiso benefits from a mild and humid climate moderated by frequent winds from the Pacific Ocean, which contribute to the tropical fruit aromas in their coffee.
The coffee cherries ripen slowly here, accumulating high sugar content, which greatly enhances the cup quality. At Finca El Paraiso, sustainable and mechanical methods are used to ensure consistent coffee quality.
| Processing Method
The processing method for this Pink Bourbon lot from Finca El Paraiso is washed process.

Observing the green beans, we can see they are oval-shaped, relatively large, with inconsistent size. The silver skin has a yellowish-orange hue, and the bean color is greenish-gray. They have a grassy and faint citrus aroma.
Region Intro:
Colombia is the world's third-largest coffee exporter, mainly producing Arabica coffee, and it is also the country that exports the most Arabica beans. Colombia is rich in products; in particular, coffee, flowers, gold and emeralds are known as the "four treasures." Colombia is located in the northwest of the South American continent, bordering Panama in Central America. Seen from an overhead view, its western side looks as if it has been scratched by a cat; from north to south, it leaves three vertical claw marks. The country's famous producing regions are scattered among these Andes mountain ranges with fertile volcanic soil.
