Pop3303/21 — A population selected in 1972 from trees surveyed on a plantation in Cyangugu, western Rwanda, owned by M. Nemery. The estate is thought to have been planted with Blue Mountain material known locally as BMJ, introduced to East Africa from Jamaica in 1894, so the trees are related to Typica but not identical to it.
Citrus woven with florals, bright fine acidity, quiet clean sweetness and a light, lifted body.
Pour-over at 90-92 °C, 1:15, medium-fine grind, staged pours, to keep clarity and sweetness forward.
