Catimor 129

0 beans of this variety

A Cenicafe selection out of the Catimor breeding lines, which trace to Caturra crossed with Timor Hybrid 1343. It travelled from Colombia to Africa through Kenya in the 1970s, where it served as a female parent of some Ruiru 11 families, and is known locally as Nyika in Malawi. Crop-load management matters: it will overbear. Nutty and cocoa-led with a light citrus edge, full-bodied and steady rather than spectacular.
