Why Arabica coffee prices hit a 9-year high: Ethiopia under curfew due to civil war, fertilizer prices soaring in the Americas, next year's coffee production affected

According to Bloomberg on November 15 US time, the price of Arabica coffee beans reached its highest level in nine years this Monday, with unrest in Africa and soaring production costs for coffee farmers in South America both contributing to the market price of Arabica.

 

 

In October, the North American benchmark fertilizer price index rose to $1,320 per ton, more than double the $540 per ton from the same period last year, reaching a historical high.
