I. Daily Cleaning and Maintenance:

1. Coffee Machine Body Cleaning: Before turning on the machine each day, wipe the body with a damp cloth. If using a cleaning agent, choose a mild, non-corrosive one, spray it onto the damp cloth, and then wipe the body (note: the cloth should not be too wet, and the cleaning agent must not be sprayed directly onto the machine to prevent excess water and cleaning agent from seeping into the electrical system, avoiding wire erosion and short circuits).

2. Brew Head Spout: After each brew, remove the portafilter and press the cleaning button to flush out coffee grounds trapped in the brew head and filter basket. Then reinsert the portafilter into the group head (note: do not tighten it fully at this point), press the cleaning button, and wiggle the portafilter left and right to rinse the brew head gasket and any coffee grounds inside.

3. Steam Wand: After steaming milk, wipe the steam wand with a clean, damp cloth, then activate the steam function once more to use the force and high temperature of the steam itself to clean any residual milk residue inside the steam holes, ensuring they remain unblocked. If there are milk crystal residues on the steam wand, soak it in a stainless steel pitcher filled with hot water (about 80% full) to soften the crystals inside and on the wand. After 20 minutes, remove the pitcher and repeat the first step described above.

4. Boiler: To extend the boiler’s lifespan, if the machine will not be used for an extended period, turn off the power and open the steam valve to completely release the pressure inside the boiler. Wait until the boiler pressure gauge reads zero and no more steam is released before cleaning the drip tray and drain groove (note: do not close the steam valve at this point; wait until the next day when steam and hot water drip from the steam wand upon startup, then close it to balance the internal and external pressure of the boiler).

5. Drip Tray: Before opening the shop or using the machine, remove the drip tray and wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Once dry, reinstall it.

6. Drain Groove: After removing the drip tray, use a damp cloth to clear any sediment in the drain groove, then rinse with hot water to keep the drain pipe clear. If drainage is poor, pour a small spoonful of cleaning powder into the drain groove and rinse with hot water to dissolve coffee grounds and oils inside the drain pipe.

7. Portafilter and Filter Basket: At least once a day, rinse the portafilter with hot water to dissolve any coffee oils and sediments trapped in it, preventing some of these oils and sediments from entering the brewed coffee during extraction and affecting its quality.

8. Brewing System and Portafilter: Remove the filter basket from any portafilter and replace it with a blank (non-porous) cleaning basket; place a small spoonful of cleaning powder (2–3 grams) into the basket; insert the portafilter into the group head and ensure it is fully seated; press the cleaning button for about 2–3 seconds, then stop (backflushing). Repeat this several times, then release the portafilter, press the cleaning button, and wiggle it left and right to rinse the brew head gasket and interior until the water in the basket becomes clean and colorless. After cleaning, remove the portafilter to allow any residual cleaning solution in the brewing system to drain out for about 1 minute before stopping the button. Brew a test shot to eliminate any post-cleaning odors. If there are multiple group heads, repeat the above steps for cleaning and maintenance on the other group heads as well.

II. Weekly Cleaning and Maintenance:

1. Brew Head: Remove the shower screen inside the brew head (if the machine has just been used, note that it may be hot to the touch), soak it (1000 ml of hot water mixed with three small spoons of cleaning powder) for a day, then clean out all coffee oils, residues, and blockages. Rinse all parts with clean water and wipe with a clean, soft, damp cloth. Check if the shower screen holes are all unobstructed; if blocked, carefully clear them with a thin wire or needle. Reinstall all parts.

2. Filter Basket and Portafilter: Disassemble the filter basket and portafilter and soak them in cleaning solution (500 ml of hot water mixed with three small spoons of cleaning powder) for a day to dissolve any residual coffee oils and residues (note: do not soak the plastic parts of the portafilter in the cleaning solution to avoid corrosion of the plastic surface by the solution). Rinse all parts with clean water and wipe with a clean, soft, damp cloth; reinstall all parts.

III. Monthly/Quarterly Cleaning and Maintenance:

1. Water Filter: Inspect and replace the first and second stage water filter cartridges; it is recommended to replace them once a month.

2. Water Softener: Inspect and regenerate the third stage water softener by following these steps: turn off the water supply; remove the third stage softener, clean it, and soak it in a 10% saltwater solution overnight.
