The flavor of a home espresso often starts with the match between beans and equipment. Semi-automatic espresso machines, fully automatic coffee machines and moka pots differ in pressure, temperature and portafilter basket capacity, so the suitable blend direction will also vary. If your daily drinks are mainly lattes and Americanos, you can prioritize flavors that easily build body, such as nuts, cocoa and caramel; if you often drink straight espresso, you should also check whether the acidity and sweetness are balanced and whether the finish is clean.
Semi-automatic espresso machines usually use 9 g to 18 g baskets, and the actual stability of a home machine is affected by the grinder, distribution and tamping. When choosing beans, a medium to medium-dark roasted blend makes it easier to build a full mouthfeel, and the extraction parameters also have more room for adjustment. You can start from 18 g of coffee, 36 g of liquid yield and about 27 to 30 seconds as a tasting starting point, then fine-tune according to the viscosity, sweetness and finish texture of the espresso.
If your home grinder has few settings, or the burrs do not control fines finely enough, the fault tolerance of the beans themselves becomes important. Blends with a flavor structure leaning toward nuts and cocoa usually do not require chasing a very narrow parameter range, and can still produce espresso with body. You can try a water temperature of 90 to 93°C; darker beans can be brewed slightly cooler to avoid high temperatures pushing the burnt bitterness and dryness too obviously forward.
Qianjie Classic Blend is suitable for home users who want espresso with weight and milk coffee with presence. On entry it is closer to roasted nuts, cocoa powder and caramel syrup, the acidity does not steal the main line, and the viscosity of the espresso is also easier to achieve. Extract 34 g to 36 g of liquid with 18 g of coffee; when making a latte, keep the milk at around 150 ml, and the coffee flavor will stay clear, making it handy with bread or dessert for breakfast.
If you use a fully automatic coffee machine, the dose and grind can usually only be adjusted within a limited range, and the full-bodied route of Qianjie Classic Blend is easier to present. You can set the strength level to medium-high, choose a shorter espresso or double espresso for the yield, then add water to taste. For cases where the machine's preset temperature is on the high side, choosing a shorter cup volume preserves the caramel sweetness better than blindly extending the extraction, and also reduces the dry bitterness at the finish.

Qianjie Specialty Blend is more suitable for people who drink both black coffee and milk coffee at home. It uses the flavor foundation of Brazil Cerrado and Colombia Huila to form a rounder cup, with natural transitions between nuts, caramel and cocoa. On a semi-automatic machine, you can start from 18 g of coffee and 36 g to 40 g of liquid yield; if making an Americano, you can let the espresso run slightly longer; if adding milk, narrow the yield, and the coffee's sweet aroma will be more concentrated.

For those who prefer dark chocolate notes, Qianjie Dark Cocoa Blend is more direct. It carries cocoa mass, roasted nuts and a thick sweetness, with lighter acidity; it has a solid mouthfeel when pulled short, and is not easily completely covered by the milk flavor after adding milk. When using a 16 g basket, you can try 16 g of coffee with 32 g of liquid; if the entry seems heavy, you can grind slightly coarser or shorten by a few seconds to make the cup cleaner.
If you do not have an espresso machine at home and use a moka pot instead, blend beans should likewise be matched to the parameters. The basket capacity of a moka pot is determined by the pot body, and the coffee bed only needs to be leveled; it should not be handled with the tamping method of an espresso machine. The grind can be taken between espresso and pour-over coarseness. Qianjie Dark Cocoa Blend will present roasted nuts and chocolate notes in this kind of equipment; heat over low flame, remove from heat when the liquid color turns lighter, then dilute with hot water to taste, suitable for home milk coffee or iced Americano.
Under different equipment, the brewing judgment should also switch to a different reference. If the espresso flow is too fast and the liquid color quickly becomes lighter, it often indicates insufficient resistance in the coffee bed, and you can grind a little finer; if the flow is intermittent and the taste is bitter, you can appropriately grind coarser or reduce the yield. When a fully automatic machine is inconvenient for fine adjustment, you can first change the cup volume and strength level; for a moka pot, prioritize observing the flame, the state of the coffee dose and the timing of removing it from heat, and do not attribute all problems to the beans.
When buying blend beans, you should also combine the basket specification with daily consumption. For one cup per person per day, you can choose small packaging and record the aroma and extraction changes after opening; for multiple people sharing a machine, you should prioritize types with broad flavor acceptance that can make both espresso and pair with milk. After opening, store the beans sealed and away from light, and weigh them again before grinding; this makes the equipment parameters more referential and also makes it easier to gradually find your own home recipe.
