It is understood that COE stands for "Cup of Excellence," translated as the Cup of Excellence, which is a coffee competition first held in Brazil in 1999 by the non-profit organization the Alliance for Coffee Excellence (ACE). It is also the first internet auction platform for globally awarded coffees.
The proceeds from the auction will motivate coffee farmers to cultivate higher-quality beans, while global consumers can access premium coffee beans from around the world through the platform.
In addition, the Ethiopia COE was initially launched as a collaboration between ACE and the Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority, with funding support from the “Feed the Future Value Chains for Agriculture Activity” (FTFVCA) agreement signed by the U.S. and Ethiopian governments.
